Islam, moderate or modern?

Modern Islam, according to some, is not a religion at all, so what does that leave? If this is so what are we left to believe? I will say this, it is the perfect system, for lack of better word, for the secular age.
So how do we get the secular Christian or Muslim? They are just people who can state secular facts and figures to come out your ears but haven't been inside a church or Mosque in years.
So all either of them know is what to get off the Internet, or from other secular sources, and would be totally unable to state with any authority things written in the Bible or Koran and how it effects their belief.
So to get back to the Muslim faith. To me it is not so much about faith as it is dogma.
The definition of dogma is that it is a principal or a set of principles laid down by an authority as incontrovertibly true. It serves as part of a primary basis of an ideology or belief system and it cannot be changed or discounted without affecting the systems ideology itself.
So now we come to the question of who says is positively, precisely and undoubtably true? Mohammed?
It is almost impossible for me to comprehend how anyone could be taken in by such a thug who beheaded so many people in his own time which alone would disqualify him from being any sort of prophet.
Actually the description of prophet in Wikipedia is an individual who claims to have been contacted by the supernatural or the divine, delivering this newfound knowledge from a supernatural entity to other people.
The true description of a real prophet is one that makes predictions that always come true, without fail. That is biblical
Is Mohammed a prophet? Methinks not!!!

The militant Muslim is the person who beheads the Infidel, while the moderate Muslim holds the feet of the victim.
