When I got out of the service, I started college. At first. I continued to be pro war, As I took more American history, I was shocked to understand that President Eisenhower signed the Geneva Accords, which called for a national e******n take place after a year or two to decide who would be the new leader in Vietnam. That e******n never took place because no POTUS wanted to be the first president to lose territory to c*******m. There was a draft in those days, and young men didn't want to go to war. Ho Chi Minh, the c*******t leader of North Vietnam was a shoe in to win.
In the Middle East, a terrorist group that has local control of the Gaza Strip, Hamas, a group that has refused to recognize the state of Israel and has sworn to destroy it. I n October, Hamas attacked Israelis and others at a peace concert, and murdered hundreds, and hundreds of concert goers in the most brutal way possible. This barbarism included putting people on fire, rape, k*****g babies in front of their parents, then shooting the parents. Since that time. Israel like any other country decided to go to war with Hamas. Hamas built all their military structures in heavily populated areas in tunnels surrounded by hospitals, schools and Mosques. In that way they used the people of Gaza as human shields.
I would say that there is an enormous different between the two protest movement.

Really, no draft. You taught history. Obviously not well.

The draft did not end until 1973.

I was talking about the Vietnam War. I said that many young men were being drafted to fight a long war that k**led over fifty thousand young men. I saw pure panic in the faces of young men getting near their number for the draft. When an enemy attacks American vital interests, you gotta do, what ya gotta do. I never said no draft.

I didnt panic nor did many others as our numbers came up in the draft. I fought my damndest thru my stint in the Vietnam war. When I came home I was shocked to be called a baby k**ler by our own people. Now these Palestinian war protesters are cheering for the proven baby k**lers. Makes me sick. Like the talking heads on the news go to expression, "looks like a war zone". I have been in many and can't remember what a single one looked like but I will forever remember the smell. People that don't know what they're talking about should just shut the hell up!
