He would lose Secret Service protection (if the bill is passed and signed)if he was convicted in his current or upcoming felony trials. I don't think this means the Democrats want him dead.

The reason ex POTUS’s have SS protection is so that foreign governments can’t abduct them and use them against the US. Think about what any ex POTUS knows about the inner workings of our military/ government and maybe keeping them safe is a good idea 👍
