A grocer, toy-maker, sneaker outlet or ANY business comes to a city, a neighborhood with the presumption of good sales, healthy foot traffic, other businesses to add support in commerce.
The executives do surveys of a prospective area.
Then the city that charmed that business lets the area turn into an infected crotch...sees the potential for these businesses to jump ship, and does nothing !
The business-owner's responsibility ends at the parking-lot, or the front door. San Francisco, like New York City, has been around for a while. They know how a city is run. They CANNOT be surprised that a retailer would leave.
To CHARGE them ? What BALLS !! Form a group and start a class-action lawsuit against the city for misrepresentation, or breach of promise...something.
I wonder if the American F**g is still flown in front of that boil called San Francisco's city

The stores should shut down and move and tell the city to go and F themselves, s***ery is against the law. If the city wants to keep the store open the commissioners should chip in and buy the place since it's such a great investment.
