What do you think Putin will do to the Ukrainians who have been fighting to keep their freedom for the past 27 months if they surrender to Russia now?
He had his only serious political rival k**led in prison, where the only threat posed was that he was still alive.

I can't even imagine how the people of Ukraine must be feeling right now. Abandoned by the US certainly - but they don't understand why. It's hard to explain that the majority of one entire party here prefers a dictatorial Russian regime over a fledgling democracy.
