There is one place and time no protesters dare show up. That would be
The Wall on Memorial Day Weekend.
Several years ago two showed up. They ended up curled on the ground. Bless the Park Police’s heart they did nothing to stop the beat down. It turns out they were all Vietnam Veterans.

WHen I lived in PA I would go to the Wall yearly to leave pictures of my brother. I fortunately (for any who would dare)did never see any protestors who were not respectful. If I had I might have gone SouthPhilly on their ass like my Italian/Lithuanian-Polish grandmother...All of 4'9". WHen Aggie first came up to Meet me and Missy we took 2 trips to DC plus visited my brother's grave on his birthday, Memorial and Veterans Day every year.

On Memorial Day weekend, I wait till Memorial Day Monday to go. There are less crowds and most people there on that day have a name on
The Wall.
Veterans Day is better as it does not always fall in a weekend thus less crowds.

Remember during C***D when they closed everything? It
did not keep many from
The Wall. Again, the Park Police turned a blind eye to those who came to pay respects.

We're doing as well as can be expected. She had surgery on her hand Monday and can't use it for a couple weeks. I took a ziplock bag out of the freezer this morning, I thought it was pork chops, but after it thawed out it looks like steak. I'm gonna cook them In a little while. Next time I got to town to the store, I'm gonna get every kind of hamburger helper there is. We must have got close to 100 lbs of hamburger with the half of beef that I bought.

No, no, no. Hamburger Helper is yucky. Make a triple quantity of spaghetti sauce!
The following is labor intensive unless you buy prechopped veggies:
Hamburger/Rice Sk**let:
2-3 lbs hamburger
1 14ounce can diced tomatoes
1-2 jars spaghetti sauce
Bunch of red and green peppers
Bunch of chopped celery
Bunch of diced onions
Sliced Mushrooms (if you eat them)
Tablespoon of dry mustard
2 cups instant brown rice
Cook the meat, veggies and mustard till done
Add rice, cover, reduce to medium-law heat and let rice cook.
It is very freezable.
As an alternative, you can add two cups of small macaroni and cover in sharp cheese.
Do not forget the ever popular meatloaf!
I hope her recovery goes quickly and well!
