There's something wrong with people who regurgitate old posts repeatedly.

I Really hope the left doesn't agree with this either
I am going to be a bit of a contrarian. It is a month out and falls on a Friday. The judge may yet rule he may be absent from court.

It isn't as though Barron has seen much of him for the past 18 years.
It has been repeatedly reported the two of them are quite close.

He'd probably rather just have his mom there anyway. It's HIS day. Not his father's. If DJ is allowed to go, he is almost sure to make it all about himself and how he found the time to go even in the middle of a trial and campaign, etc. etc.
If I'm wrong I will apologize.
There have been past times he has focused on Baron. This may be another such instance.
I will say, trial or not, it would be a serious error, on the judge’s part, to not allow him to attend. Less than eight hours later his poll numbers would be up again.

Agreed. It's a Friday.. I'm going to say probably in the evening because people do work - though maybe those with a child at this school can make their own hours. Still, I can't see the judge making him miss it either.
Actually, I'm surprised he had to be there for jury se******n. I thought he would only be required to be there once the trial began.

Anecdotal information from my area, most private schools conduct graduation on a weekday, Monday or Friday.

It is somewhat surprising.

I think I heard something yesterday or this morning about the judge wanting him there so that prospective juries would see him. They might say they thought they could be unbiased or not intimidated. But when it came down to it, it's different when they go home and think it over. Being part of the jury in the first ever trial of a former president is... intimidating.
Two of the jurors they thought they had chosen apparently never showed today. Might have changed their minds after they slept on it a night.

I am going to have to look about selected jurors not appearing. I wonder if they, at least, called to state why they could/would not do it.
I just tried a search. The only thing they taught about is before being selected and being disqualified. Nary a thing about being chosen and not showing up.

I'm not sure what happens to them. I know the judge said they would be dismissed and two new ones chosen.
an
Another who showed up today with flu symptoms was also going to be replaced.

The only thing I could find said they take an oath after se******n.
Maybe there is not much out there as it is rare.
Be aware, ProgenyE said there is some respiratory thing going around. Of course, with our big weather change and pollen it could be allergy related.

Greeaaaaat.
I may have already had it. Sort of.. found myself using inhaler way more than normal the last week or so. Better now.
Liberal Lily, here's hoping for your full recovery. Hopefully this amputation is not due to diabetes.
There is new research that nicotine can cure diabetes by helping expand small blood vessel growth to improve circulation in the feet. Nicotine is not just in the cigarettes, but vegetables, tomatoes, potatoes, the pepper family and cabbage family. A potato a day keeps the doctor away?
We are boneheaded on OPP. Oh, well, do not despair.
