Watch this. This is just the trailer, but, it's an interesting, and accurate film.

This happened to a guy I know there a couple of weeks ago. A dog attack. Management has decided it was his fault, and is bringing him up for discipline, up to, and including termination because they determined that it was his fault. It took them 40 minutes to show up on scene when he was down, and bleeding. There's a lot more to the story, but it is like that.
Your mail carrier is at the bottom of the food chain there, and, is a warrior every day.

We work hard for you, and get treated like.....feces on a regular basis by management.
Ask any Postal Worker.

A lady brought him a washcloth, and electrical tape to try to slow the bleeding.
A lady brought him a washcloth, and electrical tap...

Just a fleshwound! Get up, and finish your route!
Just a fleshwound! Get up, and finish your route!...

Ouch!!
Naturally it's his fault for not being able to run a 3.6 40yrd dash.

I'm shocked they do not provide the Kevlar calf protection like the glass installers are required to wear per OSHA, arms get the same sleeve

Looked like a decent sized dog got ahold of your postal buddy.

I would be carrying a can of bear spray for the mutts . One thing I do know is an attacking dog feels very little pain . I once was attacked by 3 large dogs and I was hitting them with my fists as hard as I could and they kept coming back and circling me like a Yellowstone Elk . The attack lasted several minutes . I did not get bit but I beat the hell out of those dogs and barely managed to keep them from sinking their fangs in . My wife was on the porch screaming . My neighbor came out with his deer rifle . Finally the owners loser son came out and the dogs ran up to him pissing themselves . I screamed loud I am going to call the cops now !! . My driveway is hard packed gravel and I had dug holes 3 inches deep all over it with my heels while I was spinning around trying to avoid getting bit and knocking the brains out of those dogs and barely phasing them .

I know . I did not dare run when they charged me . They would have hamstrung me and took me down . I had no choice but to stand and fight for my life .

You certainly kept your wits about you. Most people would have panicked and been ripped up

I knew what would happen If I ran . Those same dogs had taken down a r****ded guy in the neighborhood a few weeks earlier and they had him down on his back with his coat over his face . One of the neighbors went out with a baseball bat and got them off of him . They ran back home and the owners let them in the door . The worthless sheriff's department did nothing because it was dark and the r****ded guy could not identify the dogs . The owners were also in cahoots with animal control as they were dog pound volunteers . They were bringing home dogs on their last day to rescue them and they had dogs that were dangerous and needed to be put down . I raised hell with them then and after they attacked me . I forced a sheriff's deputy to take my statement my wife's statement and the owners statement . They were given a fine they will never forget and they moved the dogs out of the county the next day . I threatened the pound master with his job and he sucked up to me big time and agreed to collect the dogs but the owners already had hid them away . The people immediately moved and left at least a dozen cats they also had living in the house . The neighborhood coyotes took care of them . I got the job cleaning up the house -- beyond filthy . Brand new appliances had to be thrown away .They were destroyed by filth . . Those people were worse than the animals they kept .

D********g.

Its not the dogs fault they were that way. Even so, they should have been put down immediately and your neighbors should have been barred from having dogs

They just provide weak pepper spray, and lots of "training".
This guy was walkingdown the sidewalk past a house with a fenced front yard. The dog came out of the house, dove under the chain link, and had him before he could react.
Postmaster said it was preventable because he didn't need to be walking there.
We are required to take the most direct path to the next mailbox, so, he was doing what he was supposed to do.
I guess you're not supposed to if you get bit by a dog you didn't know was there.

If they won’t do anything he should call animal control! Also sue the owner if he loses his job! They would have to pay a hefty amount thru their homeowners insurance! That should fix all
