The Third party candidate, who is likely to finish in third place, is unlikely to attract many Democratic v**ers who support Joe Biden's signature climate bill. I still highly doubt he will be able to hit Trumps campaign harder than Bidens. If you look at a poll betwixt Trump and Biden and then look at one with third party candidates Trump will always get the boost. Sometimes it doesn't change the difference either but I have never seen Biden get a boost when third party candidates are added.
