The people I know who are gun enthusiasts have never advocated for AR style weapons for home defense. They are just part of a bigger plan in their 2nd amendment rights of gun ownership.

Proof you are dumber than the rocks in my garden.
You presume only
conservatives only own or use an AR-15 for home defense or anything else. Go to a gun range and ask everyone holding an AR-15 what their political party is. I would wager it is an even distribution.

Even more amusing than his usual utter idiocy is his use of MSN to discuss guns.
As we are here, UncleE is out k*****g pieces of innocent clay with his Perazzi.

Because democrats h**e firearms....They are even more h**ed when a conservative owns them.... Same mindset all dictators have. Disarm the masses.

A shotgun will not go thru brick to nail that intruder in my neighbors kitchen hiding behind the fridge.
Besides....... body armor is inexpensive and readily available to anyone with an Amazon account.
Do we assume everyone is wearing armor and face shoot folks with a 12Ga? That won't be pretty.

More holes than a shotgun shell creates. Stay on topic.

That post was on topic. There are many statements that the author made that are incorrect. I carried a 12 gauge while serving in the "sandbox", while it does not make me an expert, I have a pretty good working knowledge of them. I will say I never heard any Allahu Abukars or complaints from someone shot by one.
It is formidable but not the "be all end all that" this author supposes it to be. For starters it's capacity is limited. 2.) reloading is slow 3.) The shot does not spread across as large an area as the author implies. shall I go on?

For millions of America's Veterans, an M-16/MP-4 is the only gun that they have ever fired, they have been expertly
trained in its care, and use, as well as firearms safety. Is it any wonder that they would choose a personal
weapon that uses that same Colt AR platform?
BTW: There is little more personal, than one's choice of a "Personal Defense" weapon.

Shotguns come in many sizes and shapes.
A 12lb 50inch "goose gun" isn't a very good choice.
A Mossberg 500ATI with its 18.5 in barrel is a dandy choice.
But neither one fits under my pillow, or in the nightstand drawer.
The double action revolver with first shot FMJ, followed by 5 hollow points can't be beat in the middle of the night.
...and it fits right under Mike's MY PILLOW...✔️

If you had been on topic you would not have used net. You would have used pellets. Come on, sense of humor!

As usual, you post and run.
I am prefer the choice between either a shotgun and a rifle. If I need to blow a head off at 5 yards I’ll choose the shotgun. If I need to thread a needle, I’ll use the rifle.
