In lands where godless men hold sway,
Once bright skies turn stark and gray.
Fields of green to ash do yield,
Hopes uprooted, faiths concealed.
Walls of trust, now crumbled, lay,
As whispered prayers fade away.
Justice silent, freedoms stilled,
By iron hands, the light is k**led.
Yet in the dark, a quiet plea,
For dawn to break, for hearts to be free.
In shadows deep, a flicker, then,
A spark of hope might rise again.
But through the night, the cost is seen,
Of what becomes when gods aren't deemed.
A land once rich in love and dream,
Now silent under godless regime.
My feelings today but I know that God leads the way.

It would seem your illness leads to exceedingly excellent writing. One would not wish illness on one; however, it works well for you.
