...without good data and links to it. Lots of opinions here at OPP, from a few individuals in particular, but often there is little of substance to justify those opinions.

There are many sites that have all the employment and economic data that will prove (or not) assertions about unemployment and the economy.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics and the Department of Labor are two of them. Our tax dollars pay for the collection and distribution of all this monthly and quarterly data so take advantage of the stats. They are very informative.

It is also manipulated, based on selected data, and without an understanding of on what conclusion are reached.

Yes, they are. But in what way? If the last few decades have proven anything, they have proven that our government bureaucracy is not only willing, but enthusiastic about lying to the public about important data in order to appease the party in power.....as long as they completely support and protect that bureaucracy. Every single branch will distort or lie to back up what DC tells them to say.
Who do you trust? From part time employment being counted as full time jobs on the jobs reports, to years long lies about the effectiveness of masks and v*****es, to the relationship between early release of criminals to crime increasing, we have been told repeated lies about almost everything. I am not saying the right is always accurate, but most CERTAINLY Biden's weaponized agencies are now organized to back up wh**ever he says.

As always, your choice to believe what you would like to believe.

Statistics can be interpreted many ways. It's when you dig down you find the important numbers. For instance the Government might brag they've created 200,000 jobs/month. Sounds good. Right? Then you find out that many of the jobs are part-time, second jobs to make ends meet, and government and healthcare hires. Exactly why Biden's economic approval numbers are so bad. Fools like you look only at headlines.

Again - if you dig into the "employment situation" data on the BLS site you can look at charts for all the info you are referencing.

You can choose to believe it's wrong or incorrect but it's there for the taking, including historic charts for each metric.

Re 2nd jobs or PT jobs, is it possible that part of the reason for that is because many companies know the rules re OT and health insurance and choose to keep the hours down for the majority of their employees so they can save $$?

Also - I am not a fool, and I've dug into the data. Have you?

If it's so accurate why are monthly numbers revised, usually dow? The CBO can only score the numbers they are given. Their predictions are usually off for future growth and other economic numbers. I imagine you fell for t***sitory inflation. For accuracy, I look to the ADP payroll numbers and the Labor Participation rate. If that health care question you raise is the reason so many companies are part time hiring, maybe you should be honest enough to ask; why now?

These dummies are all government, all the time. They don’t need to read reports. All they need to do is take their meds and go grocery shopping, buy gas, look at their insurance rates, ask someone who’s renting if their rents gone up. In other words pay attention
