There is no LOGICAL reason whatsoever.
It is a purely POLITICAL move. Spitefully done with no regard to the real-world consequences.

The D's absolutely KNOW they don't have enough real support and are LOSING it rapidly, so they are forced to "BUY" v**es like they attempt to do with Student Loan "forgiveness", which they were told was illegal.
