Stanley Ann Dunham was born in Wichita, KS.

I know that Donald Trump is one of Obama's biggest Birther conspir****t and he is proof that hair spray can cause brain damage -- I don't know what everyones else's excuse is.

Look...just give it up. I do not know how you people can hang on to a conspiracy theory so long without any proof. If President Obama was an illegal in the White House then a lot of people would be in prison including Supreme Court Justice John Roberts, the man who swore Obama in as president in 2009 and again in 2013. Justice Roberts is a Republican nominated by George W. Bush in 2005 and approved by his Congress. If you think Justice Roberts is a t*****r to this country then you do not trust your own party.

Poco you might want utilize real sites. In fact, it is about the citizenship of BOTH parents.

I would refer you to the US Supreme Court decision of Minor vs Happersett of 1874, which states "both parents". It is and continues to be the case defining "natural born citizen".

We tend to use real factual sites. Legal Zoom really does not make decisions on electability of individuals.

By the way, here is another civics lesson. Because an individual is eligible to be a member of Congress does not automatically make them eligible for the Office of President. You went to public schools in the NE did you not. Usually individuals so lacking in Constitutional knowledge come from those areas.

Wrong, I went to school in Florida. Besides, Minor v. Happerset is about women's v****g rights. If both parents have to be a U.S. Citizen then Ted Cruz is an illegal and Justice John Roberts would be in prison for swearing in an illegal for President.

"Minor v. Happersett, 88 U.S. 162 (1875), is a United States Supreme Court case in which the Court held that the Constitution did not grant women the right to v**e. The Supreme Court upheld state court decisions in Missouri, which had refused to register a woman as a lawful v**er because that state's laws allowed only men to v**e."

I am not sure it will make any difference. Admittedly, I have not kept close track of this e******n; however, some of candidate Gomez's earlier comments are not particularly reassuring on his positions.

Have you kept better track?

I heard him interviewed on Fox News Sunday this morning and afternoon and didn't hear a lot that would get him beat. I guess promising to run against Markey in 2014 if he loses this time may be sad words to blue skinned people.

Gomez seems to me to be pretty sure he can win.

The fact that Obama was a Senator in Illinois has nothing to do with being President. Maybe it is you who needs to read Article II of the Constitution. Cruz can never be President although many liberals fear he may take advantage of the Obama rules.

I've tried to find out what I could on Gomez, with the limited time I have, and I didnt like what I found. Ed Markey on the other hand has been there for 37 years, which is why Gomez is getting my v**e. Gomez may be a RINO, but he like me believes in term limits.

How about Justiaus.com or for giggles and grins why not simply go the Supreme Court web site, find the case and actually read it, which is what I did. Another option would be the syllabus of the case, which again defines "natural born citizen". You could try www.enotes.com. I am not particularly enthralled with it; however, www.freerepublic.com has commentary and portions of the syllabus. Oops to much reading. Included in the case for her v****g rights was what was and is still considered the definition of a "natural born citizen". The provision is BOTH patents must be citizens. Reliance upon Wikipedia can leave one very short of facts.

No, I do not have to read the Article II of the Constitution -- maybe Justice John Roberts needs to read it since he swore in President Obama -- I didn't. Justice Roberts is a Republican and according to AuntiE Democrats do not know anything about the Constitution, so that means Republicans hold that honor.

Someone should tell Texas that Ted Cruz doesn't qualify for president -- they didn't get the message.

First , its a "them", and I have more than earned the right to post whenever the hell I feel like it. I'll be retiring in under six months, and will be moving on. They couldn't , nor would they even contemplate the notion of letting me go for your accusatory inference.

As usual a total fabrication of statements on your part. At no time did I say "Democrats do not know anything about the Constitution." I know more then a few Democrats who know the Constitution. What I implied was YOU do not know the Constitution. And yet again, your laziness in learning the Constitution issues forth by your statement, "I do not have to read the Article II of the Constitution".

The Birther Issue really makes some of you neocons look as strange as you think. Do you really think that a Black man of progressive leanings could get through the vetting of wealthy Right Wing r****ts, the FBI, Homeland security, angry conservatives, and a half dozen other agencies under Republican control in the Bush years, and his citizenship never come into question, if there was a question? Do any of you have any idea how thorough the government is for the presidency? I know you know what reporters are like: do you think these wolves wanting a pulitzer would not uncover a foreign birth? Or even hint at it for the spotlight?

As Poco pointed out, it doesn't matter if he were born in Kenya, disregarding verified birth announcements in Hawaii newspapers impossible to f**e. Get a life.
