What are you smoking??? There was no c*******m in the late 19th and early 20th century. Everyone WORKED and supported themselves. There was no social security because most people died before they could retire. The few who did live longer, were kept by their children. There was no welfare system or food stamps. Taxes were minimal, only enough to support a military. So government was small and not restrictive on business. Admittedly, that had its downside, because many people died on the job due to dangerous working conditions. Women didn't work; they were home growing food, making clothes, and raising babies. The middle class prospered because we had factory jobs for those who didn't work on farms. We had a "national" economy, which means that everything we consumed was made here, not imported. That middle class prosperity remained strong until the middle of the last century when imports began destroying our factory jobs. Japanese imports destroyed our auto industry and then our steel industry, which wiped out hundreds of thousands of high paying middle class jobs. And by the end of the century, imports almost completely took over our technology manufacturing industry. Now it is China stealing what few manufacturing jobs we have left. Everything that is not made in Japan is made in China.

No amount of C*******m will bring that manufacturing back.

You use good as the qualifier when you said Christianity has nothing whatsoever to do with a good form of government or our nations prosperity.

So if not Christianity then what is the measure? name? Identity? of good ? And as a common thread, is it used to manipulate the masses to support or refute an idea proposed by said governance.
Even while many measure good as in accordance to Gods will and precepts.
