This line of yours is incorrect.
Three Presidents have been impeached, Andrew Johnson, William Clinton, and Donald Trump, none have been convicted. Think this way, the House is the District Attorney and the Senate is the Judge. The DA cannot convict but only bring to trial. The Judge weighs the evidence presented by the DA and makes a decision to convict or to not convict.
