Currently, we could probably go three weeks and possibly four. If absolutely unequivocally we had no choice, we could use some of our emergency food supplies and go much longer.

I just went. Prices are still rising. Some items have gone up as much as $3 over a couple of months. It takes little to spend $100.

Most people measure price increases by eggs, milk, etc. As I do not consume coffee, I measure prices by the cost of my soft drink. It has gone from $1.79 to $3.89 since 2021. In the past, I saw very very limited price increases in a single year.

I buy virtually nothing that isn't on sale, or from Aldis

Impressive. You are much better off than 95 percent of the population.

When one is raised in a multi generational household, one has learning advantages.

One secret is casseroles, tripling the recipe, and freezing the extra. Soups are filling and very freezable.

I believe most teenagers should spend time in a third world country.
It opens their eyes every time about just about any issues in life especially food security.

I will make this diatribe short.

If parents had not abrogated their responsibilities, as a parent, such would not be necessary.

I promised you it would be short.

Parents in today’s world hav delegated their responsibility to their children to the government.
Just look at the mess we are in now.

Not all parents. My daughter/son-in-law have 2 boys...11/14. They are polite/helpful/do their chores without too much grumbling/fun to be around/talk to. They have a great sense of humor. They are also Christians.
