What makes this administration so weak ? the entire might of the United States military and all of its capabilitys are there and ready to strike any time the order is given .

The difficulty is they may be unable to handle three issues. If memory seeves, that has been implied by the Pentagon. We have the Navy deployed in the Mediterranean. If North Korea attacked South Korea, we are committed there. It would be unsurprising for China to move against Taiwan at that time. That makes three.

Kind of like the game of risk . We need more battle ships and carriers and B-52s loaded and ready for take off .

Maybe once upon a time but with advanced subs and missiles battle ships, carriers and B-52's are relatively easy targets. We need to find a way to tone down the rhetoric but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Kim is a lot of things but he's not stupid. I'm sure he is aware of our capabilities and I'm sure that he knows if he attacks anyone him, his family and generals won't live long enough to see his bombs hit the ground. But since he's so unstable and has already made his threats, if we threaten him he may feel pressured to do something dumb to save face. Let him bluster and waste missiles for now.

Makes sense . Traditionally they calm down when we send them humanitarian food and medical supplies . They are the enemy but we have often fed them .
