In t***h UncleE found himself in a situation somewhat similar.
Keep in mind, we rode to work together the day this happened. We worked two doors away from each other, saw each other in two meetings that AM.
At lunch time, a lady was knocked over by a car in front of our building. Someone thought she looked like me. They raced to Uncle’s office and asked what did I wear to work that day. Completely blank look on his face. His admin, who took minutes at the meeting, told the person exactly what I had on that day.
To this day, he may not be able to tell you exactly what the apparel is but he can tell you what colors I have on.

Did you know police will, sometimes, ask what kind of purse she was carrying? Apparently, it may be easier to determine if it is the right woman. So much of current clothing is very similar, yet purses can be distinctive.

I did not know police asked about purses.
Easy answer for me. My wife only uses one purse.

Easy answer UncleE, mine never leaves the car. I put money and ID in my pocket, glasses on face and go. I will admit to having two; fall/winter and a spring/summer. Oh, a formal one for carrying to events.
