Acupuncture

I was never a big believer in acupuncture, but I was cured of restless leg syndrome through acupuncture aboard a cruise ship. I have to go back every three weeks to make sure it doesn't come back. Lately, I have found it impossible to go to sleep quickly. Sometimes it takes up to four hours for me to get to sleep. Yesterday I told my acupuncturist about this problem. She addressed it through acupuncture, and I went to sleep immediately after going to bed. What can I say? I'm a believer now!

Thats great! I know a few people who’ve had it and swear by it. Its good you were open minded enough to try it in the first place.

I tried it for a leg injury and it went away.

Geez, now I have to go to NC. My non-blood niece has a Chinese acupuncturist who fixed my shoulder. As my insomnia has gotten progressively worse, she may have the answer.

Rose, I didn't want to try it, but my wife talked me into it. She saw I was really suffering from restless leg syndrome, and she said try it, what do you have to lose. After one session aboard a cruise ship, it was gone. I had to pay for a minimum of three fifty minute sessions for around five hundred bucks. It turned out that it was the best $500 I ever spent! Now I pay $80 for a twenty five minute session every three weeks, it has never come back. The key is to find a good acupuncturist. Make sure that he, or she has a doctorate in Chinese medicine, or is part of a practice that has a doctorate. The one aboard ship did have a doctorate, but practiced Japanese acupuncture, the one I see now is a practices traditional Chinese acupuncture.

Acupuncture works, but just like aspirins, it's only temporary.

Dav, That's my understanding too. That's why I go to an acupuncturist every three weeks. So far, it has not come back.

Lily, It sure helped me. Check it out, you have nothing to lose. I'm sure that there are good acupuncturists closer to you. Check them out, but be careful.

Acupressure, opposed to acupuncture, can be done anywhere at any time. Ask your acupuncturist for some advice. I learned some acupressure techniques 40 years ago and I’m sure glad I did!

Big, She has told me about acupressure, as well as cupping. I will ask her again. Thanks for the advice.
