Obviously you have no idea what the cause of the violence is. Fifty years ago a good portion of the cars in my high school parking lot had a gun in them. There was never a thought of shooting anyone because we were taught morals and responsibility for our actions. As God was pushed out of the day to day life of Americans and kids were taught that there is no responsibility for what they do, evil creeps in. It is already against the law to k**l people no matter what you use as the tool. passing more laws will do nothing. If you prosecute those breaking the law swiftly it will slow the problem down.
It's not the gun, it's the morals or lack there of that is the problem.

Should we not be utilizing the over 300 + gun laws in effect currently.
Why do want new laws when prosecutors routinely plea bargain and drop gun charges, ie reducing armed robbery to simply robbery?
Why are you unwilling to recognize the complete failure of the legal processes available to, in several past cases, take available steps that would prevent a shooting?
Basically, your ill informed stupidity looks for new laws hoping they will work.
