Major League Team Names

For major league sports teams we have Lions,Tigers and Bears (oh, my) but also Penguins, Eagles, Dolphins, Cardinals, and a host of others. But how come we've never had the ostriches? Wouldn't that have been a good name for the former Redskins? Heads in the sand, etc?

crazy, I'm a Washington Commanders fan. Unlike most Washington fans, I never liked the name "Redskins". Commanders also sucks. I like the name, " Warriors ". That is not an ethnic slur, and it allows the team to continue with its logo.

I like the idea of Warriors for the "dreaded Washington FB Team"name it still fits as the perfect antagonist for my Cowboys.
