What is in a defination and who established what the defination is.

I remember my first recollection of the Government changing definitions to set their objective. The words was binge. Binge drinking was four drinks in one sitting or something like that. My first thought was, 'that's lunch'. Four drinks might not even be a ball game in your local bar. To a beer drinker, a binge needed to constitute at least 48 hours and at least a long weekend. Actually binge was most referred to in those days as a shopping binge.
But binge sounds nasty so lets use it against drinkers because we are bureaucrats and we got to decide definitions and what is good for you.
Think, two beers right after work with your fellow employees. Then lets get a pizza. Two more beers. Then lets go to this dance club for awhile. Two more beers. That could all spread out over 6 hours, but the government decides you were on a (horrible word) binge. And during this whole time, your blood alcohol level might never have exceeded .04. On a binge and still safe to drive.

Here's another one. V*****e. A drug cocktail given to eliminate a disease and protect you from getting that disease. Many are excellent choices.
But then we had this so called p******c. And the drugs companies came up with various versions of some cocktail that was insufficiently tested and the results were within the levels of canceling because they were to dangerous.
So the Government changed the definition of v*****e to accommodate those various drug cocktails. Not going into what those drugs turned out to be and their various dangers and effectiveness, it was the government changing the definition to fit their agenda and that of the bureaucrats.

Here is another one. I**********n.
What the mostly democrats did in the aftermath of the Floyd death while in police custody were mostly "peaceful demonstrations", despite the deaths of over 15 civilians, and 500 police wounded, and arson, and l**ting, and attacks on Government buildings like a police station burned to the ground, and a Federal Court House under siege and attacks with intent to burn it down with people inside, and the taking over of 5 blocks of a city.
But when some Republicans, with helpful directions by embedded Government people, and democrats disguised as MAGA supporters, let a demonstration get out of hand, it was automatically an I**********n.
The first one in history supposedly led by the current leader, and without any weapons, or leaders in the field.

Here's another one. Has to do with this 'my body my choice' crowd that advocates for the right to end a human live on their decision alone. They call it "Reproductive Choice". And only a woman can exercise that.
But what they are advocating is not Reproductive Choice, but the "ending of Reproduction already in progress, by k*****g that human life". Not advocating for either position in this piece. Just the poor choice of words. Advocating for Reproductive Choice would have to do with getting pregnant in the first place. Like free sex with willing partners, and the use of birth control to control that process, or not. What they are actually advocating is Nonreproductive Choice in a process that is already under way.

Words and phrases and what they really mean and are twisted to mean.
