This is how much he's spent after the Supreme Court ruled he doesn't have the authority to dismiss student loans. We all get to pay for the entitled brats whining they have to pay back a loan they borrowed of their own free will for most of them to get a worthless diploma that won't get them a job.

Keep, The more educated our citizenry becomes, the better it is for the nation. As I understand it, and I may be wrong, is that loans for college are very expensive. If we do not make sure that ordinary people can find a way to afford college, where will we find people to become teachers, social workers, and other helping professionals. It is already very difficult to find qualified teachers.

That does not justify ignoring a ruling by the SCOTUS. If a Republican did that with a ruling of which you approved you would scream bloody murder.

LOL

How about teaching them responsibility and living up to their promises?

You make a promise to repay a loan - then you need to do so.

Wouldn't this qualify as taxable 'income' for those students?

I think that you are technically correct, but since the whole purpose of the "forgiveness" (read "t***sfer") of the debt is to buy v**es, I'd predict a bit of legal tap-dancing by the IRS to get around calling it "income".

I agree it's the colleges fault so do something about that and the exorbant penalties for late fees and interest. It's not fair to make those who payed theirs off and people who didn't go to college to have to pay for those freebies period.

The student loan forgiveness was not approved by the Supreme Court. But Biden is a thief, and he violated the SC by paying the student loan by INSTALLMENT.

Biden Kamala announced another $5 billion payout to student loans which will cover about 3.7 million students. To date, a total of $136..6 billion been paid.

This will give enough chance for Biden and Kamala to win the 2024 e******n using our taxes to buy the v**es of 3.7 million students. Definitely these will v**e for Biden.

I totally agree,he gave our constitution his middle finger and unlawfully forgave these loans. My point was go to the source of the problem the colleges and do something about it instead of stealing money from the rest of us so he can buy v**es.

I went to college working 4 hours and studied another 4 hours daily. But I made it. Then I worked every Spring Break for my Fall Qtr. tuition. I still made it. God helped me I prayed a lot. My mother was poor, father was gone. Uncle helped me. And before God calls me home, I will give to the people of God all the blessings He gave me.

These students splash their fat naked butts into the Key West every Spring Break and get a student loan for the money they spend. And we pay for that?

The worst is many of them majored Ethnic Studies, Black Studies, Women's studies. After college they could not get a gainful job.

Because there are no Black Studies, Ethnic Studies, and Women's Studies in capitalism. For government jobs, they don't care about merits. They hire by DEI, CRT, and Ethnicity. In Since 2021, Joe Biden hired for the federal government 19 thousand Federal employees without any merits required. They are all political appointees.
These strategies are all for political v**e buying schemes.

Biden wants to grow the Federal workforce to its highest to v**e for him.

It is a slap in the face for all that worked their way thru college and all that borrowed to complete their college and paid or are paying the loans back - this is just another ploy on Brandonโ€™s part to buy v**es in the upcoming e******ns - no different than allowing Criminals to breach our border and giving them Drivers licenses in blue states, fronting their costs for shelter, food, education and medical some states allowing them to v**e in local e******ns with the intent to pass laws allowing them to v**e in national e******ns - Brandon breaks the law up front in order to buy their v**e by giving the i******s full access to this country

We raised 6 children - and taught them the value of working and saving - when college rolled around they held part time jobs spent the first two years going to a community college until each chose the path they wanted to pursue- my wife and I supplemented their costs and had 3 in college at the same time - why is it okay to pay for others with tax dollars because they didnโ€™t plan or work or save
