China always wants to dominate wh**ever the next sexy thing is in the West. They will spend outrageous amounts of money to out produce, undersell, and put out of business, US and European makers of what ever the next sexy doohinky is. They did that with Solar Panels. Then they did it with electric cars.
China needed to show they were the largest producer of electric cars in the known universe. They incentivized their companies to churn out junk vehicles. They paid them so much per car just to get numbers, that they could brag to the brain dead Western Press about how China was super duper green. The Woke Press ate that crap up with soy sauce.
The t***h was that a lot of these EVs were just parked in fields, never to be driven, EVER. Since the producing companies knew they would never be driven there was no need to put any quality into them. The companies collected Chinese C*******t Party subsidies on each car that was more than the cost of the car. They made money, China could brag about how green they were, and everyone was happy.
There are a s**t pile of these electric junkers rusting in fields, but there are too many to even do that so they are dumping them in foreign markets. You really do not want to even think of owning these POSs.

Do they wonder why so many people are leaving the state of California? What is going to happen when California loses its ability to pay its obligations? They will shift the tax burden to people who can’t pay. The Feds will have to take over and bail them out. How sad!
