I've said this before. When I was a young man unemployment lasted for 26 weeks, after that you were on your own. That's how welfare and food stamps should be now. After 26 weeks you gotta fend for yourself.

I know able bodied young people (late teens to mid twenties)who know how to get more freebies than I thought possible. They know how to work the system. The things I hustled too pay for at that age they somhow get. Free phones and minuites, healthcare, subsidized housing, snap card, and eventually a free attorney. When I ask them what they do all day they say hang out. When I ask them what they want to do when they get older they say hang out. They always have cigarettes and usually some sort of substance abuse problem. Unfortunately the Democrat answer is subsidize this group more.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, there were 4.8 million vacant job openings on the last business day of October.

The most common reasons for the mismatch between unemployment numbers and vacant jobs is that job seekers are unwilling to move cities or work in unfamiliar positions, employers are holding out for the elusive “perfect candidate”, and that schools just aren’t providing the right sk**ls.
