I recently posted a question on one of the threads.
Should a Secretary of State be able to take Biden off the b****t in their state because they believe he is cognitively impaired? Every time, on this site, I post a question about Biden, not Trump, I get no response from the left. Are they admitting they have no answers or they just can't debate?

They have a single thought - Trump, Trump, Trump.

Thus the acronym “TDS” came about.

I reckon that, the SCOTUS has committed to answering that question, this year.

If the SCOTUS does not overturn Colorado it will open the floodgates to it happening all over for any reason.

The broader question is, should a SoS be allowed to take any candidate off the primary b****t in their state.

Those that believe in states rights might argue yes. If a SoS deemed a candidate a threat to democracy in their state it could be argued that it is their duty to protect the citizens they have sworn an oath to protect.

On the other hand, in this instance it has federal significance and may be beyond the mandate of a state SoS.

States rights is a trick issue and SCOTUS will be dammed by some either way.

That is a good question I think it would take more than just a belief for any elected official to be removed from a state's b****t. There should be a certified medical diagnosis in the candidate's record before a State removes a candidate from a b****t. The question is would this decision be upheld by SCOTUS? No just like the current cases in Colorado and Maine they all will most likely be overturned by SCOTUS.

Using your example, maybe the answer is a SoS can take a candidate for state/Commonwealth office off the b****t but not a candidate for the presidency.

Yes. Possibly. Now that this gambit has been broached it is bound to get a lot more attention as the divide widens.

Absolutely not.

If a candidate meets the requirements to run, that’s it.

The ‘belief’ of the SoS is an opinion. Some SoS might consider any democrat to be threat to democracy.

As usual, those pushing this, because of Trump, failed to realize it could just as easily be used against them.

Simple, the left has no answers that reasonable people want to hear so they resort to deflection and name calling.

They won't have it. THEY are the only one's allowed to manipulate the law, the Constitution, and the population.
