This is what the upcoming e******n boils down to and the true tragedy is that there isn't a single one of you MAGA Cons who understands just what Donald Trump is trying to do. Ninty One indictments and you applaud him as if his thuggery and defiance of the rule of law is somehow to be admired. That's authoritarianism pure and simple and you love it...far more than any hint of Democracy and the laws that give it structure.

You mentioned 'what's left of conservatism' but I would suggest that today's conservatives are, in fact, today's liberals and today's liberals are actually today's Marxists. The vast majority of conservatives believe in 'live and let live' so long as they are not threatened but today's "Liberals" aren't happy unless they're telling everyone what they should think and how they should act.
