This forum is not at all what I expected. As you might be able to tell from my name, I am NOT a Trump supporter. I would enjoy having an intelligent debate with people who DO support the MarmaladeMessiah, but after reading through several of the discussions, that does not seem likely. Too many here have fallen deep down the MAGA-hole.
I do wish that those who want TFG back in the WH could understand that if that somehow happens, it means the end for our 245 year old Democratic Republic. DJT wants nothing less than absolute power - the power to do anything he wants with this country. If you all think that will be a good thing... All I can say is "Be careful what you wish for!"

Sorry about the MM label for Donald. After listening to his rants, and those from his misguided dev**ees for the last 7 years it became pretty clear that his true believers think he's going to save them from "lefties" when in actuality, he hopes you will save him from the American justice system.
Almost comical - except for the very real danger he poses to the country where I was born, raised, and have lived for all of my 66 years on this planet.

Have any of you studied history? Those are the people I'd like to hear from. Because to me, Donald's rising popularity among MAGAts is much the rise of Hitler in the 1930s in Germany. Can anyone can provide and intelligent response for why that isn't correct?

Why do you suppose I am a lefty? Because I believe Donald Trump poses the greatest danger to the country in over 160 years? There are many Republicans who feel the exact same way - the ones who are truly paying attention to what's happened, is happening now, and to his speeches.

Ok, I apologize for the MM remark. When I used it I was picturing the golden statue of him at that C-PAC event a few years ago. Once seen, it can't be unseen. For those of us who are familiar with the Scriptures, that most immediate thought it brought was the Israelites golden calf in Exodus 32.

You see, we have this document called the Constitution, which clearly spells out what a president can and cannot do. Granted, the current Administration has been incredibly derelict in it's duties of fulfilling those obligations, but Trump being another Hitler is absolutely ridiculous. You are foisting the Biden administration's failures and shortcomings onto someone else, a typical progressive tactic. I'm not a Trump supporter except for the fact that he is still light years better than anything the Democrat/Progressive/Socialist party has to offer.
