They passed a bill that Schumer has had on his desk since July and has done nothing with it. Now Democrats are desperate and want something new done right away. Biden is not enforcing the laws we have now so why give him more.

The last reform of our i*********n l*ws was in 1989. Things were much different then. We almost got something a few years ago but the Republicans stopped it. It may be possible to get something attached to the debt bill, but it won't be what we need.
This is what I see we need:
More border patrol agents.
A lot more judges to process immigrants. I heard the people asking for asylum wait here for 4 years for their hearing. Getting a hearing in 2 months or less should be the goal.
The Dreamers should get some way to attain citizenship. They are Americans without papers.
We need to spread immigrants more evenly across America. Texas shouldn't have all immigrants just dumped on Texas and Texas exported to wherever.
An international solution to all these people fleeing their countries. Like refugee camps in Mexico. Resettlement programs. We need the UN Committee on Refugees to get involved.
We are a nation of immigrants and we can solve this.

UN is involved and contributing to the problem. The immigrants who came before didn't live off taxpayers and the government didn't provide support so i******s could be paid a lower wage.
