Yes, if it was important to my husband. My mother did for hers.

But then again, I don't subscribe to any one religion. Especially if they think God takes attendance so you better go to church

Hell no
Would she?

How about they both change their religions to the others religion and openly, faithfully practice it for at least a year before getting married. Or else, take a hike.

Then your religion isn't important to you and it is a meaningless gesture.

I would respect my spouses religion but I wouldn't convert. I'm glad I didn't have that problem.

Why say that? Because I don't have a specific religion? Why would that make my relationship with God, meaningless? I don't like going to church on Sunday mornings. I like to sleep in. I think God will give me that one. If someone chooses another religion, it seems to me that requires alot of love. You don't have to stay a certain religion. You can have faith in any. Well, most that is.

I don't require anyone to have my same religious beliefs, as everyone views God in different ways. If I chose my husbands religion, it would not be meaningless. It would mean alot to us.

So, don't even tell me that religion isn't important to me and any gesture I'd make would be meaningless. That's pretty arrogant of you.

Thankfully, my relationship with God has passed the point of mortal "labels".
We know each other, and it doesn't matter what my friends, etc.call that relationship.
If it would make her happy, yes, I would change.

No - that would be denying God`s word about his Son Jesus Christ.

As my Pastor would say Jesus would laugh or cry if he was here and was asked about organized religion.
In my faith you are a Believer (Christian) if you believe Jesus was who he said he is and he came to do (take our sins unto Himself) what he said he came to do. Labels mean nothing.
