It needs to be pointed out that all the banks who loaned Trump money had signed documents attesting to the actual size of the Trump apartment as being just under 11,000 sq ft. These banks were used multiple times over the past three decades and it is common knowledge what the size of the apartment actually is and it is documented. The size of the apartment was never even a part of the bank decisions when its value is placed next to the Trump net worth of 5 to 6 billion dollars.
They all know that the valuations are not even germane to the question of whether to give Trump a loan or not. It is just incidental "fill in the blanks" parts of these loan applications. The loans are given based upon net worth. The loans are not even necessary but to float cash in hand to do developmental activities and they pay interest to the banks for these loans which are essentially tiny compared to the net worth of the borrowers.
For the banks, there was NEVER a question as to whether these loans would be paid back, at all. These loans in question are chump change loans, almost like that green Mastercard, used to float cash. ALL businesses need to float cash to remain operational. They take out loans just to make payroll once or twice a month.
No attempted fraud. No victim. The appeal is already decided.

This is what happens in an authoritarian regime. The government creates MASSIVE legal codes, then uses it to attack their political opponents with process crimes.
The left claims to be worried about Trump becoming authoritarian in the future, and meanwhile it is happening right now right before their eyes. There are none so blind as those who willfully keep their eyes shut.

The square footage was 3,000 .
Misrepresented as 11,000 to deceive .
A lie is still a lie.
A deception for personal gain.
Is still against the law.

So is Jay walking. So is littering. If you write your zip code as 67899 on an application and it is really 67898, are you being deceptive in order to get an sweetheart loan, or is it just an unimportant mistake? How many forms a year do YOU fill out that bears statements that are not exactly precisely accurate? How many of such forms and applications do you thing Trump PERSONALLY fills out each year? How much do you want to bet it is ZERO......he has lawyers to do that for him. This was not meant to deceive any one in order to get a loan. It is general rubbish that needed to be filled out per policy, but had nothing to do with the loan.
Go back and read my post, just before yours. Take it to heart, because it is the T***H.

Either way, which I doubt you are correct in your numbers, it doesn't matter.

A 1994 document was introduced during the cross-examination of the former Trump Organization Chief Financial Officer Allen Weisselberg.
This document, signed by Trump, confirms the penthouse's size to be just under 11,000 square feet.
