I remember all of that like it was yesterday. She was Abbie Hoffman at the time, and that was a horrible, extremely personal and extremely h**eful thing to say to you. And she didn't just say it once, she expounded on it with more and more detail to you. When I read the part about your granddaughter, it prompted me to think about my granddaughter, and that made me cry. Saying that kind of thing to a mother/grandmother is probably one of the most horrible, hurtful things - evil things - that anyone could say to them.

I am sorry you had to endure that evil that was directed at you, your husband, your son, his wife and their daughter! All those people whom you love used against you to hurt you!!....and the readers that read it, too. I'm sure you will never forget those words that were used to hurt you!

I hope you have found a place to put that - a very high shelf in your mind - so that it doesn't haunt you. My grandmother used to tell me when I had been hurt by someone that it was best if I just offered it up to God and let him take care of it for me.
