Republican members of the U.S. Senate Joint Economic Committee recently analyzed Consumer Price Index and Consumer Expenditure Survey data and announced that, due to inflation, the typical American household must now spend an additional $11,434 annually in order to have the same standard of living as they had in January of 2021.



This is unacceptable! How many Americans have an extra $11,000 to spend the same items they normally buy?



Americans all around the country are feeling the burn from inflation.



According to an October AP/NORC poll, 69% say their household expenses have risen over the last year, but only 23% have seen their income increase during the same period.



And it makes sense why Americans are feeling this way. According to Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), since President Biden took office, the consumer price index (cost of goods and services) is up 17.1% percent, meanwhile average hourly earnings are only up 13.6%.

We have 4 grown daughters, 16 grands and 6greatgrands. 3 of the 4 daughters are self sufficient and the4th lives with us while she works pt and her disability claim is being processed. We are doing alright despite the high prices(they have gone down quite a lot since beginning of the year). Question to me: As a liberal, have you ever read/listened to a news piece and thought, this is exactly what conservatives are talking about and I completely agree with them?

As a former U.S. Army Intelligence analyst and counterintelligence agent, I often read/listen to an American “conservative” news piece and think this is exactly what MAGAites are talking about and how what they are talking about sounds just like the news pieces from the old Soviet Union, the old East Germany and the North Koreans.

In the days of the Soviet Union, the two main “news” sources were Pravda (T***h) and Izvestia {News). There was a common Russian expression in those days “I v novostyakh net pravdy i v pravde net novostey” which, roughly t***slated into English is “In News there is no T***h and in T***h there is no News”.

When I was an intelligence analyst, I would read and listen to the news sources of the Soviet Union, East Germany and North Korea to see what the enemies of my country are talking about.

Now I occasionally read and listen to American “conservative” news sources such as Fox, OAN, Newsmaxx, etc. to see what the enemies of my country are talking about.
