Reagan was full of sh!t, ask the people saved from sinking boats by the coast guard or those who had their homes or lives saved by firefighters or paramedics if they were terrified by the government helping them. Add to that the tens of thousands saved by government mandated air bags in cars, or not poisoned by uninspected food.

Oh, gee, let's not forget about the POC that the government experimented on with LSD and heroin. And let's not forget all the hundreds of cases of water pollution where the government failed to do due diligence. And let's not forget the Trail of Tears. Or how Americans of oriental descent were treated in WW2. And let's not forget how MULTIPLE government agencies FAILED abysmally resulting in the nightmare from Katrina. And let's not forget how the government absolves itself from liability when things go wrong and people are harmed or k**led. Try looking up the harm the US government has deliberately done in it's history. You will be reading for HOURS! You can trust them, if you are abysmally STUPID!
The government can and does do a lot of good.....when they are not too busy covering up their own mistakes and corruption.
