Chauvin’s lawyer, Eric Nelson, had advocated for keeping him out of general population and away from other inmates, anticipating he’d be a target. In Minnesota, Chauvin was mainly kept in solitary confinement “largely for his own protection,” Nelson wrote in court papers last year.
Last week, the U.S. Supreme Court rejected Chauvin’s appeal of his murder conviction. Separately, Chauvin is making a longshot bid to overturn his federal guilty plea, claiming new evidence shows he didn’t cause Floyd’s death.
Floyd, who was Black, died on May 25, 2020, after Chauvin, who is white, pressed a knee on his neck for 9½ minutes on the street outside a convenience store where Floyd was suspected of trying to pass a counterfeit $20 bill.
Bystander video captured Floyd’s fading cries of “I can’t breathe.” His death touched off protests worldwide, some of which turned violent, and forced a national reckoning with police brutality and r****m.

That poor darkie should've stayed in bed that day.
Mr Chauvin is paying the price for allowing himself to be video taped while he had his knee on the poor spook's neck.
Now, Chauvin didn't k**l that gorilla, but he used poor judgment by kneeling on that monkey's neck for the whole world to see.
The spook paid for his mistakes with his life.
So he no longer has to worry.
But Mr Chauvin is paying for his stupidity as he lives.
And all he'll have, for as long as he lives, is worries.

if Chauvin had not done the neck thing, floyd would not have died.. Did you know that for a short time the cop and Floyd worked together as security for some place not far from where he was k**led.
As for the stabbing,, I truly get POd.. things like that should never happen..
how bad is he? can not tell yet, but the article does use the term Life saving action... take a few days to find out..
Regardless of how I feel about cops overdoing the force thing.. revenge k*****gs, especially in what is supposedly a secure facility will never git my casual glance.. also consider , this is the 2nd incident in just over a year at this joint in AZ.. Chauvin lawyer pushed for the t***sfer a/c in Minnesota Chauvin was kept in what amounted to solitary confinement for his own safety.. someone tried to block the move to AZ because of the prior stabbing..
Not a gold star moment for our security systems..

Minnesota needs more heroes like Floyd and fewer police officers to impede their heroism.

Sounds like a federal prison is a death sentence if you happen to be a white cop. Chauvin might have used poor judgement but his sentence was unfair and excessive.

I missed nothing.. it was important to me at that the time.. coldblooded murder in plain public view, taking over 8 minutes off the clock..
Chavin was facing multiple felony charges, none related to the Murder of Floyd.. those went to court a few months after the murder trial.. Look em up.. Chauvin was a dirty cop.. no matter how you thing it went down it was only a dirty cop who murdered an unarmed man guilt of a minor offences..
