Rosalynn Carter, wife of Jimmy Carter, has passed away. She had been in hospice care for a short time and was suffering from dementia. Her husband, at 99, is the oldest president in history.
Many people, myself included, have no love for Jimmy Carter, but I really can't think of anything bad about his wife.

Carter was a nice guy and hard to h**e personally, but he simply did not have what it takes to lead a nation such as ours. Plus, he was an outsider and the Kennedy's undermined him whenever they could.

I lived through Carters record setting inflation and interest rates. Can you believe 18%? He bankrupted whole neighborhoods of family farms, or should I say, he allowed it to happen. I doubt if he was smart enough to know who was REALLY orchestrating this massive war against the middle class, small businesses and especially family farms.

Ms. Carter did more than you think, especially on mental health issues. As a co-founder of the Carter Center and supporter of Habitat For Humanity, she was extremely helpful in her long life. I was surprised to find out she wasn't the oldest of our first ladies. Bess Truman was, at 97.
