Our Bizarre Government

In Washington D.C. expanding health care is considered dangerous and Un-American, prosperity for all comes from cutting taxes for the elite, and the way to ensure peace is through endless war and spying on law-abiding citizens.

Our economy did not crash because government is too big to succeed but because Wall Street banks were judged to big to fail. Washington saved their butts with our tax dollars and are poised to do it again.

Who is selling this crap to the American people? Some of America's wealthiest corporations, CEOs and foundations-they are behind the lobbying, the propaganda, and the corruption of our e******ns.

Over the past 25 years America's economy has more than doubled in dollar value, an expansion that all of us helped to produce. The bottom 90% has seen their income fall by about $4,000 while the richest .01%'s income jumped by 384%.

May 10,1886 is the day a rogue Supreme Court clerk recorded that the court had ruled that, "corporations are persons within the intent of the 14th Amendment to the Constitution providing equal rights under the law."

The Supreme Court never said that but ever since that day , thousands of corporations have exploited the bogus rendition of their legal status. Four years ago, our wildly pro-corporation Supreme Court took the brakes off political spending by big business. Now Corporate lobbyists tell lawmakers, governors, and mayors: "You support our agenda and we will spend millions to re-elect you. If you don't, we will put millions against you. Your choice."

In the last e******n both parties were bought. The biggest bank-rollers of the Democrats were:

Microsoft
Google
Many lobbying firms
Kaiser Permanente
Time Warner
IBM
Disney
Comcast
Apple
Emily's List
MoveOn

The Republicans biggest bank-rollers were:

casino mogul Sheldon Adelson
The Koch Brothers
Goldman Sachs
Bank of America
J.P. Morgan Chase
Wells Fargo
Numerous smaller banks
General Electric

Both parties gave a good return on their backers investment. I didn't see the average American represented by either party in the give-away we laughingly call a budget.

Here is what I would like to see:

Break up the Wall Street casino that wrecked our economy and is more the willing to do it again.

Get ALL corporate money out of politics.

Provide Medicare for all Citizens. Good health care that is not run by insurance companies.

Get our troops and America's reputation out of : Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria.

Rein in greedy CEOs and corporate lobbyists.

Reinvest in America's infrastructure.

In short reinstate the Common Good as America's governing ethics.

What exactly does this mean..."see"...let's take a look at his thesis, hypothesis: shall we?

Clearly, you and this "clown" have no idea where corporations borrow money. The market place known as "Wall Street" allows corporations a means of borrowing money at low rates, so that they can: 1. expand their business 2. create value for investors 3. provide a way of paying CEO's, COO's, even lowly employees and small players, stock is a means investment, so retirement doesn't mean moving into a cardboard box.

Quote:
Get ALL corporate money out of politics.

...okay, would you start donating money to campaigns and politicians if it could be stopped? Where does one drawn the financial line in the sand? Don't you think that corporations would just pay another organization to do their bidding? Never underestimate someone in search of power...there is no law so complete that corporate entity could find a way around it.

Quote:
Provide Medicare for all Citizens. Good health care that is not run by insurance companies.

...isn't that what the ACA was for?????.....forcing health plans on everyone so that everyone could have medical care???

Quote:
Get our troops and America's reputation out of : Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria.

I understand troops, but why does our "reputation" need to be removed, and that being said, how is removed? If you have a reputation for being an asshole, how do you correct that? Like my XO used to say; "Ignorance is correctable..stupidity isn't."

Quote:
Rein in greedy CEOs and corporate lobbyists.

Let me introduce to an American, a greedy CEO and a lobbyist...wait.... they are one person....oh no!!!!!

Just how the F*&k is this going to happen...we all become priests? Oh, that't bad too....

Quote:
Reinvest in America's infrastructure.

....so elitists can drive around in their fancy car's...lol

Quote:
In short reinstate the Common Good as America's governing ethics.

I think the common good is to pay people who put lug nuts on tires nothing. Let them eat dirt, I say. I say people who want to smoke, should be allowed to smoke, especially when I'm trying to eat.

What is the common good: it is in the eye of the beholder. Empty Rhetoric from an empty headed twit.

DB, exactly. Obamacare, aka ACA, is the best example of why government SHOULD NOT be involved in healthcare. Lets uninsure the insured so we can insure the uninsured. Only liberals can dream up this kind of silliness. I'm not even going to get started on the other crazy talk as you handled it with common sense

C*******m! Bring on C*******m! Elect Elizabeth Warren for Pres! Government take over of all those evil corporations...take all the wealth from the rich! The government will provide everything...of course the government produces no wealth, only takes from the taxpayer...but, now we have only government employers...so, where does the money come from?

Take a look at what is happening in Venezuela right now, or Russia, and then come back and post more of this liberal garbage.

Obamcare is Romneycare, straight out of the conservative Heritage idea factory. We need single-payer, like all the other advanced nations.

We have a Corporate government, not a 'REPUBLIC' DeJure form. " You have a REPUBLIC,,if you can Keep it"- Benjamin Franklin.
We lost it years ago. We need to get back to what our forefathers gave America...

That is exactly what the "progressives" want, world wide c*******m. Who the hell is supposed to determine THE COMMON GOOD for everyone? that was the claimed goal of c*******t, but it requires someone to determine the common good and punish or destroy everyone who does not go along willingly.
