Just found out that my cousin Ryder has cancer... It's on his pelvic bone and malignant...
He starts chemo this week and has been told that he will probably be left sterile and (after the surgery if the chemo can shrink the tumor) impotent....
He's only 23 and it took us all by surprise... His mom and I are close and I was sort of an older brother/uncle to him... (to clarify: his mother is my mother's first cousin... I grew up calling her cousin too)... He's got his whole life ahead of him and they're saying that if the tumor continues to grow he could lose a leg...
Would appreciate any positive energy that is sent his way...

I am so sorry to hear that, CD. It is especially tragic at his age, where there should be few concerns and bright hopes for the future and dreams have not yet been degraded by life. Thank you for providing his name, as well. Using his name makes our prayers much more personal, if not more effective (God knows who we are praying for, regardless). Send Ryder our very best wishes, and prayers that the doctors are right about the best treatment but wrong about the possible repercussions.
