U.S. General: American Troops ‘Prepared to Die’ For Israel

“’As far as decision-making, it is a partnership,’ [Lt. Gen. Richard Clark] continued, stressing nonetheless that ‘at the end of the day it is about the protection of Israel – and if there is a question in regards to how we will operate, the last v**e will probably go to Zvika [Haimovitch].’

Washington and Israel have signed an agreement which would see the US come to assist Israel with missile defense in times of war and, according to Haimovitch, “I am sure once the order comes we will find here US troops on the ground to be part of our deployment and team to defend the State of Israel.”

And those US troops who would be deployed to Israel, are prepared to die for the Jewish state, Clark said.’We are ready to commit to the defense of Israel and anytime we get involved in a kinetic fight there is always the risk that there will be casualties. But we accept that – as every conflict we train for and enter, there is always that possibility,’ he said.”

"The question is: why bother wearing an American f**g on that uniform at all? Better yet, why not swap the whole thing out wholesale for an IDF uniform like the one that Rep. Brian Mast wore in the American Congress last month, who somehow escaped so much as a word of criticism from his Republican comrades, much less censure and removal from office?"

MY COMMENT: Have we completely lost all sense of reason? Our country is going to s**t in a handbasket, and we have US Generals and politicians forgetting where their loyalty lies.

My memory is sieve like; however, if it serves tonight, Congressman Mast has dual citizenship and served his required military service in Israel.

I believe you are correct Auntie. My issue is with "dual loyalties". I respect Congressman Mast. He served this country honorably, and lost both his legs serving with our military. I don't know if he holds dual citizenship with Israel. I personally don't think that is appropriate, but that's simply my opinion.

Proud, as I stated to Auntie's post. I respect Congressman Mast's service to this country. I do not stand by the censure comment in the article I posted. I don't know if the congressman holds dual citizenship, but unless one holds dual citizenship by virtue of birth, I personally do not think that someone serving in the US government should hold dual citizenship with another country.

>>>We are a democracy. That AH better take a v**e. They might be trained to fight and possibly die for America, but that doesn't mean they are ready to fight and die for another country. Any other country.

There are a multitude of Jewish people who hold dual citizenship with Israel. In this instance, my sieve brain refuses to open the knowledge cell as to why. My memory tells me there is a very distinct reason, yet fails to remind me what that is. Also, I am simply to lazy to look it up nor contact my Jewish friends to remind me.

We have had a multitude die for Iraq and Afghanistan, neither of which were worth the time or money and lost before they began. If, in fact, we entered into conflict joining with Israel, that country is prepared to go all the way to retain their “statehood”/sovereignty.

We should not have sent US troops to Iraq or Afghanistan, nor many other places that troops are sent into harms way. In spite of what the main stream media and the US President said, this was not for defense of the US homeland. It is nation building, and foreign policy intervention. This needs to stop.

For the most part, I agree with you. In the case of Israel, their existence helps maintain some balance in that geographic area, hence may be worth some effort. Mayhaps use of our SpecOps people in conjunction with Mossad.

We only have one friend in the Middle East. Israel. No Muslim countries are true allies of the U.S.. None are democracies. They are theocracies. Religious beliefs Trump all else. We should support Israel and turn Iran into glass.

Even other Muslim countries would have little issue with turning Iran into a wasteland.

They sure do have issue with taking in Palestinian refugees. Almost like they’d rather use them as political pawns.
