I see a great deal of very vain individuals on social media and I do believe that the majority of people simply don't understand that vanity is not at all a virtue.
In fact it is the exact opposite of virtuosity and nearer to immorality.
Social media is cluttered with half naked females who insist upon flaunting the fact that they've been endowed with good looks and they foolishly believe that beauty is of their own invention.
And it's not just the females who are guilty of excessive conceit.
Far too many male celebrities and entertainers tend to be as bad as the females.
When an attractive person resorts to actually bragging about their appearance and they go out of their way to flaunt themselves publicly, it no longer qualifies them to be considered beautiful.
This type of behavior only proves them to be shallow and morally inept.
I just saw an image on a popular site, of one of our conservative female politicians, who happens to be quite attractive.
She posted an image of herself dressed in sexy evening attire and along with it she posted a comment that unfortunately exposed her as vain and shallow minded.
I'm sure she saw no harm in it because she's just one of a million females who behave in this manner on social media every day.
But when I saw it, my only thought was how disappointing it is to see that our society has come to accept such proud displays of vanity.
So I formed a few simple words to express my opinion on this subject.
