The passage of the amendment is the best thing for Republicans. All polls show that most people do not want an a******n outlawed, and Democrats hit Republicans with the issue, scaring v**ers that if Republicans win they will outlaw a******n. When the right is written into the constitution nobody has to worry that the right will be lost, so the Democrats lose a valuable weapon. I think the failure in Virginia was due to Youngkin's expressed desire to pass a******n restrictions if he had a majority.
