Canaan was given to Abraham by God. When the Roman's invaded and took what was known then as Israel they renamed the land Philistia (to pi$$ the Israeli people off since the Philistines were always a war mongering people trying to invade and destroy Israel). Israel is the rightful heirs of the land currently also known as Israel and the Philistines (Palestinians) have no rightful claim to the land.

Why Israel owns the whole land of Canaan. God offered that to Abraham.

Genesis 17:
The whole land of Canaan was given by God to Abraham after God had tested his true faith offering his only son Isaac, in the land of Moriah. But the angel stopped him. It was a test of Abraham's faith to God.

God said, “Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love” . God asked Abraham to sacrifice the son he loved deeply. Abraham had waited for many years for Isaac to be born, even when it seemed impossible (Genesis 17:15-17).

What consist of Canaan at present?

There were several conquests of Israel throughout history. They were driven out from their land. The destructions of the Temple. 1st and second. The 12 Tribes were scattered.

True, but invariably a lot of the Palestinians are descendants of the Philistines. Goliath was a Philistine, a very wicked group of people full of warmongers. They were always trying to destroy Israel much like the Palestinians/islamists of today.
