There are a couple of takeaways from this story. Allow me to point out one that flys under the radar of this story.

I only recently became aware of Israel's stringent policy on the issue of "gun control" for the average citizen.

As stated in the article: "People are always surprised to learn that Israel, a country in which every person must serve in the military and is, therefore, trained in gun handling and safety, has strict gun-control laws. Israel loosens these laws just a little bit after every intifada, but they’re still stronger than most would expect. An excellent Algemeiner article from February 2023 explains that Israel has no Second Amendment, requires that people prove a “need to own a weapon,” and has exceptionally stringent “rules of engagement” for those who do finally own a gun."

Why does a country that is under constant threat of violence and attacks on it's population, see the need to so tighly control the ability of it's citizens to defend themselves?

In this country we have a Second Amendment, which is being threatened every which way from Sunday. Liberal/Woke politicians are trying to make ammunition expensive, or write laws (like in NY State) that make it impossible (even with a license) to carry a firearm near schools, playgrounds, church's, and a whole host of other exceptions, which is almost as effective as an outright ban!

All governments are afraid of an armed citizenry. It is a potential challenge to the authority of the state. And that includes the government of Israel.

And that is the most important reason to never give an inch to those seeking to restrict our rights to own a gun without restrictions.

If you have to demonstrate that *guns matter* is an indication that you need to justify firearms. Even you are trying to explain why you need a gun. T***h is, NOONE NEEDS to own a gun.

T***h is without guns we are nothing. We have no defense! No way that can happen! Owning a gun is a freedom. There are ways to k**l without a gun! Maybe we should outlaw knives too?

And then there's this one: "It’s better to have a gun and not need it, than to need a gun and not have one."

It doesn't have to be a big, fancy gun. It can be one that fits in the palm of your hand....as long as it has stopping power, you're good.

No one ? Excuse me but when Bidens new house guests are given the signal and they tear through the neighborhoods in the USA, I want to defend me and mine .

You can hand yours over if you like .
As for me , I choose to live when the attacks start. And they will......

You can decide whether or not you need to own a gun, but you can't make that decision for anyone else.
Apparently you have no frigging clue what owning is really all about.
