How did President Biden's "swaggering faith in himself" contribute to the unpreparedness of the White House during the fall of Afghanistan?
How could anything else have happened. Trump released 5,000 Taliban fighters from prison…including the current Mullah running Afghanistan when he surrendered to the Taliban…. AND THEN withdrew all but 2500 troops on the ground there…essentially giving them Afghanistan by default. Trump literally wanted to bring the Taliban to Camp David (his military advisors nixed that) and didn’t even allow the Afghani at the negotiation table. Why aren’t YOU criticizing Trump for not withdrawing all of the troops there???
Why?
Because he is a petty little vindictive POS who wanted to leave his successor a choice of 2 s**t sandwiches. Do you expect me to believe that had Biden sent more troops over which essentially would violate Trumps Surrender Agreement cease fire and begin a new war there….that you wouldn’t have criticized Joe Biden for that?
This is nothing but hypocrisy looking for anything to criticize Joe Biden for…
This is just a reminder, and pulled from Quora, posted by a fellow Biden supporter..

Just the facts.
Yes, the Trump administration in 2020 agreed to the release of 5,000 Taliban prisoners
Peace talks between the Afghanistan government and the Taliban, which never made substantial progress, didn’t begin until after the release of the prisoners.

WHAT WE FOUND
The Trump administration and the Taliban reached an agreement on February 29, 2020, in Doha, Qatar, to pursue peace in Afghanistan.
Even leftwing CNN wrote a scathing article describing Biden's botched Afghanistan withdrawal.
"Biden’s botched Afghan exit is a disaster at home and abroad long in the making"

Kenneth McKenzie, commander of U.S. Central Command, contradicted President Joe Biden’s claim last month that top military advisers didn’t recommend keeping a residual force in Afghanistan.
In a Sept. 28 Senate hearing, both generals said they believe the U.S. should have left a residual force of at least 2,500 troops, and that Biden received those recommendations.
But in an interview with George Stephanopoulos of ABC News on Aug. 18, Biden denied that his decision to withdraw all troops from Afghanistan went against the advice of his top military advisers.
