Turds Nest - I got my education in Wisconsin, and I'd bank it against yours any day, and I'm 81 years old. Where did you go to school, and how old are you? 9 to 1 - you won't answer the question.

Dumb Turd, you are the least educated, ignorant turd I have ever encountered. All government agencies are unconstitutional. The only reason they exist is because congress is tired of governing and passed their duties onto the executive branch. I suppose they did that so they could spend more time with the lobbyist who are buying their v**e. Because the Dept. of Edu. is not legal they have no right to force states to follow their rule. You dumb s**t, because libturds have run the country for the last 100 years you think you have the answers. Yu don't have a clue. It's really scary that dumb asses like you can v**e. No wonder the country has become a cesspool. With a f*ggot president, and a d**g q***n as 1st lady and the liberal left's penchant for d**g q***n respectability. Pardon me while I puke.

Your not dealing with facts your dealing with Fox talking points just throw out a number without explaining that number. But that's the GOPTP propaganda at it's best. And you believe because your ideological beliefs won't allow anything of facts. How sad to live in a world of lies

No Fat to Cut at the IRS?So Take a Chainsaw to the Rest of the Beast.

CapitolLogan's RunJust before Christmas, IRS Commissioner John Koskinen called a press conference to complain that Congress just isn't giving tax collectors enough money to extract revenues from the American people. "We're well beyond cutting out any fat. And we're now into cutting, as people say, muscle headed toward bone."

Of course, Koskinen framed it in terms of customer service, and friendly media outlets immediately parroted the message that a $346 million cut, bringing the IRS budget down to $10.9 billion, inevitably means longer wait times on the phone for distraught taxpayers seeking answers for their pressing tax questions.

This is an all-hands-on-deck spin on IRS cuts, with National Taxpayer Advocate Nina Olson (who is theoretically on the victims' side, despite her government paycheck) recruited to caution that the IRS is "chronically underfunded" with unfortunate implications for taxpayer service and assistance.

Then again, that might not be so horrible an outcome, given that IRS assistance involved giving taxpayers bad advice 22 percent of the time back in 1987, 41 percent of the time in 1989, 22 percent of the time in 2002, and 43 percent of the time in 2003. And no matter the advice dispensed by the tax collectors themselves, taxpayers are on the hook for getting it right.

OMBOMBThese days, the IRS focuses more on how few calls it has the resources to answer rather than the dangerous possibility that one of its employees might actually pick up the phone and speak into it. Still, maybe a few cuts to taxpayer service and assistance aren't such a tragedy if that thins the ranks able to mangle the response to an occasional query.

But it's not just the call center taking a hit. Koskinen warns that a leaner IRS will collect less revenue.

Well, cry me a river. While I have a dream that someday wind will blow through the broken windows of the Capitol Building and chase trash around the abandoned hallways, this minor budget trim is unlikely to do the job. Federal government receipts are currently at 17.3 percent of GDP (XLS), expected to rise to 18.3 percent next year, and 19 percent in 2018. The beast, it ain't starving—to the contrary, it's fattening up on us. A bit of a diet won't hurt.

Given the alternatives, a few cuts to an IRS that may be at its least dangerous when it's illegitimately targeting political groups isn't all that frightening a prospect.

I'm sure we all remember this.

The IRS Is Drunk With Power
It’s time to rein in the out-of-control agency.
By Mercedes Schlapp June 7, 2013

The party is over for the Internal Revenue Service. After spending $50 million on 220 conferences between 2010 and 2012, Americans are outraged by the misuse of taxpayers' funds to support their line dancing lessons and expensive hotel rooms. The Inspector General's report also detailed how the IRS spent $60,000 to produce "Star Trek" and "Gilligan's Island" themed training videos and paid $135,000 in fees to outside speakers. One wonders what the themes of these talks were: "How to persecute conservatives from the comfort of your luxury suite?" or "How to stop write offs of luxury items while at the spa at the Ritz Carlton?"

Over the last five years, Americans have taken less vacation time and have found other ways to tighten their belts, but IRS employees are spending money while staying in expensive p**********l hotel suites. The reprehensible actions of the IRS in its handling of tea party groups, the stewardship of its own budget and the fears of what they will do to us with the expansive power of Obamacare, have joined together to make tax reform a real possibility.

Also auditors have found that over 1000 IRS employees have misused their Government issued credit cards.

So yes AuntiE they can cry me a river as well!!

Aunti, I would like to take the whole dog-gone government, in DC, cut at least in half - than maybe they will do only half the damage they have been doing - they may even get rid of half of their DEAD WOOD.

They should cut 3/4 of all the Departments they have created, starting with education and turning that back to the states. There were 35 (agencies and departments)under just A, times 35 by the rest of the alphabet and it comes to a total of 910. Maybe some letters have fewer, but odds are some letters have even more.

They want their finger in every pot, I know what I'd like in that pot for their fingers.

Hey Turdy don't you get tired of looking foolish???

> Ronald Reagan’s First Term – $656 billion increase

> Ronald Reagan’s Second Term – $1.036 trillion increase

> George H.W. Bush’s Term – $1.587 trillion increase

> Bill Clinton’s First Term – $1.122 trillion increase

> Bill Clinton’s Second Term – $418 billion increase

> George W. Bush’s First Term – $1.885 trillion increase

> George W. Bush’s Second Term – $3.014 trillion increase

> Barack Obama’s First Term – $5.806 trillion increase

To summarize, the National Debt increased by huge amounts under each of these presidents. However, the largest increase under any President, whether for one or two terms, occurred during Barack Obama’s first term, which saw an increase of $5.806 trillion to the National Debt.

As of the end of President Obama’s first term, the National Debt stands at $16.433 trillion dollars. Current Obama administration projections indicate that the National Debt will increase to over $20 trillion by the end of his second term.

Sorry i***t Obama deficit and Federal spending loss of fed revenue based on Bush wars, bush tax cuts, Tarp , Medicare part D and a major recession which cost trillions in lost revenue, major unemployment lost revenue so not based on Obama spending it's based on lost revenue paying for Bush spending and we will be spending because of Bush for the next 20 years. Just taking care care of 40,000 wounded vets cost billions so stop trying to blame that deficit on Obama . What was the deficit when Reagan got in office what was it when in got out he raised the deficit by 300 % what was the deficit when Bush 43 got in Office and what was it when he got out of office then add add in his tax cuts wars Tarp Medicare part D lost revenue through high unemployment recession housing market all paid for under Obama. So put the blame where it belongs and stop being so out of touch

Workinman, let's face it - to be a liberal you naturally are in denial. If it is outside their myopic view of life, it doesn't exist.
