I would agree with your post here. Americans forget that the C*******t revolution of Mao was under the Truman Administration, a hard-core New Dealer. Congress was not all on board, hoping to assist Shang Kai Chek. So, Truman wisely demanded land reform on Formosa and then sent financial aid to back new industrial growth so the peasants would not side with Chairman Mao.

Curiously, nobody in Congress has backed land reform in North, Central or South America, but instead expand the Bureau of Land Management that now owns half the land in the US. This is raw r****m, a sublime economic segregation by socialists and 80 SDS congressmen, yet the STUPID Democrats don't even recognize the enemy within, themselves.

Meanwhile, many posters on OPP lump Wahhabi terrorism of HAMAS with all Muslims - Turkey, Indonesia, Malasia, the Central Asian Republics of Russia, and Uyghurs of western China as all terrorists, the Uyghurs who have been ens***ed, "re-educated" and massacred by the MILLIONS in Red China because these Muslims rebuke c*******m and seek independence. The leftwing press is once again, promoting c*******m and the s***ery of socialism.

I am not "rich" but live on a modest income as a retired senior and have always recognized that my freedom to choose is my security. I find these socialists in the United States with their insufferable arrogance backing HAMAS as a disgrace to our nation and all humanity. They are stealing our children right now in our unionized public schools and universities.

Thank you for posting this.
Thomas had foresight. Is American apathy the enemy beyond Karl Marx's Progressive Tax and Government Central Bank, the Fed constantly devaluing our currency?

Ready Player, you seem rational and well grounded. Putin is now calling for peace, but I doubt Iran and HAMAS want that. But no matter what, Netanyahu will finish the job and end HAMAS once and for all. That is a given. When push comes to shove, self-defense is not a crime.

Our own youth in college siding with terrorists (youth who have never worked a day in their lives) have to be weaned off the box of prunes the SDS and Common Core has peddled them in the public schools and realize socialism does not work, it has never worked in the past, and was never intended to work in the future. Marx intended it as a bate-and-switch death trap. That is the same reason the Palestinians are failing.

The first thing the Republicans must do is totally shut down the Department of Education and return the task of education to the States.

Hillsdale College is advertising its free classes in history and civics on OPP right now. I took some of them, they are very good, highly motivating and a luxury.

First off, I need to think about putin calling for peace. Something smells like fish. Time will tell.
Secondly, about the education problems, and there are many. Let's see if I can put all I have to say in perspective. Education insinuations as a whole cant just be shut down and refurbished. As we learned during our C***D experience. It dumbs down our youth more than we have yet to realize. It takes allot of time to give control back to the states. Each state will argue on what curriculum they will want to follow. The Department of Education from each state will need to decide and come up with a budget to support their plans. The different points of view will very from state to state. In essence it would be a mess. Having the government guide and support The Department of Education is more uniform so everyone is basically learning the same things. The problem with that is we end up learning what the government wants us to learn. It's basically a catch 22. Not to mention the money each state gets from the government. Some states simply can't afford what other states can. So the general public puts up with wh**ever the government and states decides to teach our children. It's not usually the school or teachers fault. I can't speak for any other state but California. I was one of the lucky few who went to Sacramento and watched this fiasco first hand. Talk about a rude awakening. Unless you hear and see it for yourself it's hard to describe. It's like watching congress agree on any one thing. All the representatives from each district decided on how to spend the money coming from the government that dictate how well your district has done on their academic results. So if your GPA is not doing so well you get less funds. So why don't the poor districts get more money to higher better teachers? GPA! That and how wealthy their community is. That is dictated by our ever so loving government which we pay anyway. Can I roll my eyes yet! I do hope you can understand all that jubberish. Personally I had no idea all this was going on until I saw it with my own two eyes. Most people don't have a clue. All they know is unless you send your child to school you can end up with a fine or worse go to jail on top of a fine. I'm not sure how to stop the government from teaching our children things we really rather they Not learn. There's a HUGE list of things we would rather they not learn! Also a bunch more that they should be learning. Reading, writing and arithmetic was the norm. If you were lucky enough you had sports thrown in along wirh extra curriculum activities after school hours. Now I have no idea. Things change fast.

Ready Player, thank you for your thoughts.

Maybe we should shut down the Federal Department of Education totally. No money from Washington to the States. No strings attached.

Doesn't California have Charter Schools separate from Common Core public schools?

Would vouchers help parents choose between public, charter and private schools?

Should States not rely on property taxes to fund schools, but income taxes to fund education to equally fund all the school districts?

Yes Counter, there are charter and private schools already in place along with home schooling. Vouchers are already in place. Public schools however have a different criteria. The Federal Government has its teeth embedded in public schools. How best to control parents you may ask. Starts with children. Then it filters into families. It's all about control. Do you honestly think the government will give that up? My family/children have been out of school for quite awhile, thankfully.
The idea of each state funding the schools themselves would not work. If you are lucky enough to live in a state where there is ample funds available, your good to go. However if you live in a poor state the children would have next to nothing. Parents are already having a hard enough time just to be able to purchase a laptop for there children. It's required now. The schools will provide one for a fee. The parents today in low income areas can barely afford food for their children. It goes on and on. Parents these days have it rough. Are you aware even in California parents are required to buy reems of copy paper for the schools? That's not all. The public schools are not allocated enough money. I have no Idea how the private schools cost, or how they function.

Do not worry about the poor states. Instead of using property taxes for school, use income taxes. The real problem is building and creating new wealth, not just redistributing it. Making our nation energy independent again would resolve that problem. If we can increase our GDP, many of our poverty issues would be resolved.

We have open borders, where the NPR libtard radio station this morning spoke of Trump's border wall impeding the migration of wildlife - cheetahs, armadillos and coyotes. All this wonderful wildlife includes 160 nationalities from the Russian and Ukrainian Mafia who fund the DNC in Sanctuary Cities, other Oligarchs, drug cartels, and terrorists feeding poison to our children and public, oh, yes, an 8 million "refugees" (all adult males of fighting age) who will not be processed for another 4 years, not to mention the school age children to be accommodated by the public school system.

That additional burden of 8 million i*****l a***ns cost money and our national security is greatly jeopardized. Keep in mind that we are accommodating these i*****l a***ns with a $2,2,00 supplemental monthly income as senior citizens Social Security averages just $1,400/month, and half of American citizens make under $32,000 annually, ($2,666/month) and rent, not owning property. This is ripe for r**t. Trump was fixing this by creating enterprise zones.

Without economic growth, we have increased crime, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer, pitting the poor against each other fighting over who gets the most government scraps on the government plantation. This nonsense has to come to an abrupt end by impeaching Biden immediately.

NPR also reported this morning that ONE THIRD of the Ukrainian Army's military equipment is MISSING. Who did the Ukrainian Mafia sell it to? HAMAS. This was validated earlier by Congresswoman Marjory Taylor Green's report in the NY Post.

Marjorie Taylor Greene Asks One Question That Everyone Needs To See
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/marjorie-taylor-greene-asks-one-question-that-everyone-needs-to-see/ar-AA1i0neD

Senator Rand Paul called for appointing a Special Inspector General to oversee our subsidies to Ukraine. The Democrat led Senate with Chuck Schumer who happens to be Jewish, v**ed Rand Paul down!

The Democrat Party needs to be designated as a terrorist organization and totally shut down as we impeach Joe Biden.

The entire world is suffering under an ignorance of not understanding Karl Marx's two principles for enslaving free men.

1) The Progressive Tax that k**ls rising competition against monopolies eventually merging with the State
2) A government central bank that systematically devalues the currency entrapping the poor in poverty because the money they make today is worthless tomorrow. This has done more to demoralize our people than a Civil War.

Socialism is not Robin Hood. It is a den of thieves with PhDs and CPAs.

None of our children graduating from school today could pass an 8th Grade math course.

The children are drugged into complacency with Ritalin, unable to reason. We are at a point where we must return our mothers to the home and home-school our children or hire private tutors. The US Dept. of Education must be totally abolished. Education is not an issue of money, it is an issue of honesty.

The founders of Common Core need to be thrown into the stocks and hit with rotten tomatoes.

(I feel as if there is a ghost retyping over my letters! My apologies.)

I'm sure some would, but I highly doubt most would. They might even lynch you for even suggesting such a thing! Much would be lost within what you suggest. The stone age no longer exists. For example, how would one support their family? The school system has become the babysitter. How would one survive if you had only one adult in a household. Some women have 3 jobs to make ends meet and do so by the skin of their teeth. Families in that situation seldom see there children and more often than not the children are left at home to fend for themselves. Wouldn't it be better to try to solve a problem rather than creating a bigger one? Yes get rid of this common core way of teaching, that I can agree on. But the children need to keep up with the times. Before you put your foot in your mouth, I have a suggestion. Go visit in person your state capital and attend one of the sessions they have for The Department of Education and learn what's going on. Take your local rep aside and have a conversation. That is how parents get involved to make change. It's a shame more parents are either unable to or unaware of what's going on within their child's district. The PTA or the school site council where anyone's child attends school is a start if nothing else. Being involved is key.

Ready Player, you asked:
"Seriously though do you really think for one moment you could actually get away with turning back the clock to where a woman would actually enjoy being bare foot and pregnant schooling their own children?"

Here, we must agree to disagree.

When Woodrow Wilson, (ushered into office by the KKK), was hell bent on building a giant bureaucracy to replace Congress made up of us common men, he succeeded. We are now ruled by Bureaucracies, some 600 of them writing rules and regulations into a Federal Registrar with their own police, courts, and jails, where one is guilty until proven innocent, virtually a 4th unelected branch of tyrants. Even a puddle in your driveway or a dam on a frog pond for your children to play in is considered a navigable thoroughfare for the Navy by the EPA that fined a California couple $75,000/day.

Their oversight power of "expertise" was further entrenched by the Chervon Deferral Case where the Courts and Congress abdicated their responsibility to litigate and legislate to the "experts". This was a turning point in American history that needs to be reviewed by the Supreme Court and made unconstitutional.

The Bureaucracies need to be auctioned off and PRIVATIZED like Boris Yeltsin did to dismantle the Soviet Union's Ministeries. Congress and the Courts can consult these "experts" on an as-needed basis the way they used to do by calling in "expert witnesses." This will cut down the millions of unaccountable entrenched employees slurping out of the government gravy train and save us trillions of dollars each year - and balance the budget.

This is all doable. We are bankrupt financially and morally right now. We cannot keep printing money out of thin air and take our paycheck home in a wheelbarrow like Germany after World War One.

Then, husband and wife will not need to spend the first 4 months of each year working to subsidize our monstrous government bureaucracy. We still need a safety net for the poor, but we need not put the entire nation on welfare. At this point, the wages of a single-family provider should be high enough to keep a mate at home or hire a nanny.

Of course, there are career women who do not want to stay at home, being adventurous in nature. Fine, hire a nanny or let the husband do the housekeeping. The bureaucrats are breaking the bank and the family unit, deliberately, that they might steal our children. Getting rid of Woodrow Wilson's bureaucratic foundation for Hitler's eugenics would be setting our clocks forward, not "turning them backwards." Many women would like increased wages and a strong family unit, and some chivalry to go along with it, and would thank me for the suggestion, not lynch me, as you postulate.

Let's "think outside the box"

How would you deal with all the people who would not fit into that criteria? If you really want to home school now why don't more people do so? Then there are parents on drugs that have children. How would you deal with them? I could ask more, but let's start with these questions.

Parents on drugs need to be arrested with their children placed in foster care. But this does not mean the government owns all of our children.

The people who do not fit into "that criteria" - do you mean the parents satisfied with public schools castrating their children, g***ming them for p*******e rape? Or do you mean the parents satisfied with Comon Core? I have not heard of single one.

Today, half of working Americans make under $32,00/year and cannot afford for one mate to stay home or send their children to private school. Vouchers for school choice would most likely level the playing field, favoring charter schools (non-unionized), even for the poor, where the teachers unions are dead set against them.

We need to end all labor union organizing government employees, especially first responders, a national security threat. But that is another debate.

The Supreme Court is zeroing in on this nonsense of g***ming children, ready to ban this practice completely under the 14th Amendment, "equal protection under the law:

[b]The Supreme Court Could Decide The Future Of Child S*x C****e Bans]/b]
https://dailycaller.com/2023/10/22/the-supreme-court-could-decide-the-future-of-child-sex-change-bans/

"As multiple federal courts have issued various rulings on the legality of child sex bans, legal experts told the Daily Caller News Foundation that the Supreme Court is likely to take up the issue.

"In Tennessee, Alabama, and Kentucky, federal courts have upheld child s*x c****e bans, while bans in other states, such as Arkansas, have been struck down. The arguments against the bans are often derived from the Due Process and Equal Protection clauses of the 14th Amendment, but those arguments aren’t likely to survive on the Supreme Court level, where challenges to the bans are likely headed, legal experts told the DCNF.
