No government should never consider paying another nation for the release of Americans held as hostages. The way to handle countries such as Iran is simple.Inform them that they have a choice release all Americans being held hostage or wake up each morning to another one of yours city's burnt to the ground. Paying despots money only leads to more depots kidnapping Americans for ransom. We of the United States of America have the military capability not to bend to the will of nations such as Iran. There is no telling how much of this money has already been spent on other terrorist groups such as Hamas.
