I may have to change my mind....
Probably noone recalls but for some time I have been expressing doubt that anyone is actually suffering over the food situation these days..
As I have posted, my wife is very much into local groups and issues.. at one of the more recent get togethers, one lady had to leave to help with the weekly food distribution to those who qualified.. one of the remaining ladies was in a snit that free food was given to some people.. the school lunch lady went on a sermon about the attempt to not give kids a meal if they were behind in the payments.. she recently paid for a couple of kids rather then let them go hungry.. also another school assistant relayed the story of some kids who for one reason or another came to school at about 10am.. Split day or something, anyway the kid asked for breakfast and that was over as they made lunch, she asked the kid why he did not eat breakfast at home, his reply, his mom said they had to save that food for supper.. I do not know that family so can not comment on the home life..
But it does seem that some people are truly needy for daily food.. I am going to pay more attention.. we should never have anyone going hungry in this country, if it needs fixing, we darn well better get it done..

Yeah, everyone knows that the greatest country on earth can't feed its own people and aid another country in keeping its own people free! What next, ask our billionaires to pay more taxes...speak about a REAL atrocity!

A big part of the problem is that many parents have misplaced priorities. I have seen many food stamp recipients buying name brand products instead of purchasing less expensive store brands. They buy rib eyes instead of less expensive cuts of meat. I actually asked a lady who was obviously very frugal why she was buying the less expensive brands. She stated simply that it made her assistance go farther. I bet many of these parents have money for potato chips, ice-cream, beer, cigarettes and tattoos.
One of the other causes of the food crisis came about when Biden declared his war on f****l f**ls and helped fuel inflation. Diesel fuel (which should be cheaper than gasoline) literally drives the truck. Planes, trains, ships, farm equipment, trucks are all diesel powered. That high dollar gasoline that you put into your automobile was delivered to the gas station by a diesel-powered tank truck.
We will one day be unable to feed the nation because so many farms have been turned into solar farms. The liberals who are foisting this alternate energy fiasco on the nation may be able to eat a solar panel, but I find them impalpable. Foxtrot Juliet Bravo...
