Donald Trump has seven days to give to a state court a list of companies that will lose their New York business licenses after after a judge ruled that he had committed financial fraud last week.

On Thursday, New York judge Arthur Engoron issued an order that will carry out Trump’s punishment for a pre-trial ruling he made that found Trump and others within the Trump Organization created false and misleading financial statement that inflated his net worth.

Engoron ruled that the former US president will lose his business certificates in the state, essentially limiting his ability to run his real estate company. The list of companies will be given to retired federal judge Barbara Jones, currently the court-appointed monitor overseeing the Trump Organization.

Seeking to prevent an end run around his ruling, Engoron told the defendants to give Jones advance notice of any application for new business licenses in any jurisdiction and any attempts to create new entities to “hold or acquire the assets” of a company that’s being dissolved under the ruling.

Also on Thursday, an accountant who prepared Donald Trump’s financial statements was back on the witness stand for a fourth day Thursday in the New York civil fraud trial examining whether the former president exaggerated his wealth.

Trump employes ~22,500 people, lets put them out of jobs.
He pays ~ $655mil in revenues, lets take THAT out of NY
I wish he'd take all of his toys and go elsewhere and let NY wallow in even more filth than it is now.

Where I live, if you own property or a building, you have to pay property taxes on that. If Trump has property that HE says is worth 2 million $$, and he pays taxes on that amount, then let's see what taxes he's paid on his properties.

Here our tax assessors look at the property and agree or disagree on the value. Do you think THEY are going to undervalue a property??

If THEY have agreed to the "undervalue" the RATS say the properties are worth, then it seems like the tax assessors owes Trump a L_O_T of money for what they have overcharged him.

You really owe it to yourself to read the actual charges in the indictments. There is no question they committed bank and tax fraud. The businesses will not be destroyed they will be turned over to a competent receiver who will run them legally and the profits and or assets sold will go to the quarter billion in fines and restitution owed by the Trump crime family.

I will try and explain this again using smaller words. Trump's properties, particularly in Florida, were valued at about the same amounts as similar properties very close by. Palm Beach properties are outrageous by any standards. If he paid taxes on the amount he claimed, then that's their market value, regardless of what some thimblebrain Manhattan Democrat shill of a judge claims.

Then why wasn’t Trump allowed to defend himself

It's becoming that way....guilty, unless proven innocent.

Ask Pelosi.

Trump lost NY City in the last e******n 10 to 1. Can you just imagine how a jury who was exposed to his missdeeds by the NY Post's lurid headlines the past half century would do to Trump? He chose a bench trial because he had to. He has had about 4,000 court cases in the past 50 years and lost most of them. He will loose here, it's just a matter of how bad it will be for him. He does not have any defense.
